About the Author

L.M. Davis

I have always loved the written word, from the time that I used to have "reading races" with my brother, to the moment that I tried to pen my first short stories, until today. I especially love fantasy, particularly dark fantasy.

I haven't always loved this genre though. Until about the third grade, I was afraid of the ghost stories that the music teacher used to play around Halloween. I had to leave the classroom.

One day though, something just snapped and after that, I couldn't get enough. L. J. Smith, Susan Cooper, J. R. R. Tolkien, Madeline L'Engle, C. S. Lewis- I devoured it all.

Now witches and vampires, elves and uruk-hai, strange and wonderful creatures of all types are my best friends; the literature about them is endlessly spellbinding to me. Of course, right now, shape-shifters have a special place in my heart.

Interlopers: A Shifters Novel is my first YA novel.
